Beyond Volunteerism: Relevant and Real Approaches to Service-Learning In-Person
Quality Matters & Eduventures Research (2018) report more than 20% of institutions are looking to adopt service learning into their currciula. But what factors do faculty need to consider when incorporating service learning into their courses? How does service learning differ from volunteerism? Join Drs. Cynthia Conley (Social Work), Stacy Deck (Social Work), and Pam King (Nursing) as they discuss their experiences infusing service learning, one of AACU's high impact educational practices, into their courses and clinical work. Lunch will be provided. Reservation required by Friday, May 18.
